This is a year long study of the Dutch master Willem van Alest
The lessons are presented below. Each month a new lesson is added along with the video. You can watch the video and lesson at your own leisure. They will remain on this site for the year. We are also answering questions from students and teachers about the lesson. These questions however are posted on our Educational List. This list contains member from over 30 countries. If you have questions about a lesson or part of the painting, please go to this site and join the list. We will be happy to answer all painting and technique questions there. Supply List During the year we will use them as an acrylic and oil emulation where we will slow the drying down to 5 hours. We will start the painting using them as acrylics. This summer we will convert them to "Global" colors which we use to paint oil techniques. Click the link below for a list of supplies needed to paint this study.
